How to Start : I have to admit, I was pretty lucky. I was raised by two amazing parents, had all of the opportunities that I could ever want, and succeeded in many different aspects of my life. With that being said, even though I had everything I needed and achieved success at times, I still wasn't consistently happy. I would occasionally feel joy, but I would also occasionally find myself in a negative mindset when something in my life went wrong or even for no reason at all. When in this mindset, I would consistently only look at my shortcomings instead of my achievements; I would play the victim. On the surface, nobody could have guessed this because I had great life circumstances. However, I knew that something was missing. I knew that a consistent state of happiness was possible despite the events that would happen in my life. I knew I had to change something, so this lead me on my journey to achieving happiness.______________________________Can you relate to this?My guess is that some of you have a very similar story, some of you might have worse life circumstances such as physical disabilities or financial struggles, some of you experience negative thoughts at times, while some of you are deep in a destructive and depressed mindset all of the time. Chances are, though, that if you're reading this, you all share something despite your circumstances: You all want to live a life of happiness and fulfillment, but are unable to achieve it consistently or at all on your own. Dark thoughts, fear, anxiety, anger, and hopelessness are occasionally if not consistently what you experience. You're hoping that there is something you just don't know that will change everything for you.______________________________Happiness is possible for youA life of happiness can be achieved quite quickly if you're equipped with the right information and if you decide to put it to practice. In case you were wondering, society's idea of happiness is flawed, and you'll soon find out why. It takes much more to have a fulfilling life than just simply going to school, getting a 9-5 job, buying a house, etc. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with doing these things, but there is so much more to happiness than what our society suggests. Society implies that success is what will lead you to happiness. As research has proven, success alone does not foster happiness, it's happiness that leads to true success. ______________________________If you could only retain one thing from this app, it's the one listed below. Here's the happiness concept YOU NEED TO KNOW:FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL, and have ZERO EXPECTATIONS for the things that aren't in your control; you must view anything that helps you as a bonus, and anything that works against you as a challenge.Things that are out of your control include other people's actions and attitudes, the world's economic and political situations, your job status, people passing away...I think you get the idea. Expectations on things you can't control will undoubtedly lead to disappointment, which will undermine your happiness. So, disregard any thoughts about the things that you can't control because they serve no purpose.______________________________What should you focus on then? In large, the only 2 things that you can control are: your ACTIONS & ATTITUDE.Therefore, the rest of the app will be dedicated to focus on these 2 key elements because they ultimately dictate your mindset and level of happiness. With that being said, here's the first action you must take and the attitude you must have to start: YOU MUST COMMIT to achieving happiness. Not only want it, but commit. You are in control of how you approach your life, and only you can choose to adopt the right mindset. You want to live your life without regrets, don't you? Happiness is a skill that must be mastered through practice, which can eventually become a habit. All you have to do is consistently review this information and put it to practice every day for about 3 weeks. Then, the habit forms, and you will gradually achieve happiness.______________________________How to know that you're on the right trackYou'll know you've achieved happiness when you're in a controlled, peaceful state with deep confidence and feel a sense of continuous progress, belief, and gratitude. Put more simply, you'll just know. It's important to note that pleasure and fun can contribute to your happiness, but don't mistake them for it. Those who only seek extreme pleasures through alcohol, drugs, and other activities as an escape are fooling themselves if they believe that it's the path to happiness. Once happiness is achieved, don't become complacent, because it's not perfection of the key principles provided in this app that allow you to obtain happiness, it's the progress you make striving to improve your life that does.______________________________So, are you up for the challenge?I hope so, because if you do commit and become happy, the possibilities that await you are endless. Ultimately, happiness is what we all desire most. It's why we do all of the things we do, in order to experience joy and fulfillment.
