My name is Tawnee Flores (ta-nee). I lived in Fort Worth,Texas for 8 years then I moved to Tucson, Arizona when I was 8 years old soon after I turned 9. I was born Oct. 17, 2006 and currently I am 11 years old. I have lived in Arizona for 2 years now. I love to play softball and basketball. I also love to go bike riding with my friends and I love to go to Home Plate (a restaurant) with then too! I will turn 12 years old this year! I am currently in 5th grade and I will be going into 6th grade soon. I have recently got braces on Jan. 4, 2018. It is kind of like putting you on a diet, but now you really can't say it's your cheat day. I made this app because it can be really hard to make sure what you can and can't eat. That's why I made some lists of what you can and can't eat when you have braces. For example my favorite candy is a Snickers bar and now I can't eat it because of the caramel and the nougat it will take my braces off my teeth. I hope you find this app useful and remember...Braces Make Pretty Faces!

Brushing your teeth is very important especially when you have braces. It's very important because food gets stuck in your braces very easily. That's why you should brush your teeth after every meal. If you are in school and you need to brush your teeth and you don't you should at least rinse your mouth out. Then when you get home brush your teeth. If there is something caught in your braces you should either floss or use your brush pick to get it out of your braces. If you don't have any of those then you should keep bushing your teeth until it comes out.
Foods You Shouldn't Eat
-Apples-carrots-celery-Carbonated beverages, such as soda and sparkling water -Caramel candy-Corn on the cob (always remove the corn from the cob)-Doritos, Fritos, Tortilla chips, and pretzels -Gum (even sugarless)-Hard candies: taffy, jawbreakers, or any candy with nuts-Hard shell nuts: peanuts, pistachio, or corn nuts, etc.-Meat not cut away from the bones: ribs, chicken, steak, wings, etc.-Tacos or taquitos with hard shells-Do not chew on ice cubes or ice chips-Do not chew on any hard objects, such as the ends of pens or pencils.
