It all began with my desire to coach my daughter in competitive gymnastics--to see her grow and flourish into a strong healthy athlete; to teach her more than simple or complex moves, but discipline and love of a sport and to be part of something bigger than herself. To nurture her along the path to success in all aspects of life, not just gymnastics.
Founded : 2006
Commencing with our Parent-Tot classes, where parents direct their children through stations designed to motivate bodily mindfulness and elementary gymnastic moves, these beginning gymnasts then progress to our Co-ed 3-4 yr. old and Co-ed 4-5yr old classes as they grow older, more independent and have mastered basic beginner skills.
At the age of six we separate the sexes and each begin to acquire the essential skills of gymnastics and cultivate the strength and flexibility to prosper in all athletic venues. Those gymnasts with the talent and desire to pursue gymnastics competitively can gain the necessary skills to try out for one of our competitive team groups.
COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS LEVELS 3-10
Competitive Gymnastics is not for everyone. It requires a sizable time commitment from at least one parent and it can be expensive—but there are few things better than watching your child standing on the podium or loving a sport with such a deep sense of commitment. If your child desires to be, or is asked to be on a competitive gymnastics team and he or she is only six years old, don't fret about their age. You are at a quality gym, with an excellent record of competitive wins and we will take excellent care in teaching him or her properly.
COMPETITIVE CHEER TEAM
Junior Level 2 (USASF Levels 2) is one of our beginner teams. Developed as a junior novice/intermediate team, these athletes are 14 years and younger. Skills required include but are not limited to standing back handsprings, working multiples and round off back handsprings.
Senior Level 3 (USASF Level 3 ) is an Advanced Senior All-Star team available for those athletes whom possess the drive for excellence. Athletes from 18 years old to as young as 10 with a good knowledge of competitive cheer is the make-up of this team. Senior 3 athletes will be required to compete round off back handspring backs, back handspring backs, and should be working layouts, bounders and front to back tumbling, along with strong stunting technique. Above average jumps, motion technique and performance presence will be expected as well.
Parties are scheduled only on Fridays in the Summer and only on Sundays in the Fall. Party base price of $135 (10 kids) is due at booking; each additional child is $5. Each participant must have a signed Registration Waiver before they can participate. If the waiver is not signed by their own parent or legal guardian, they may not participate in any activity at Excel . The Registration Waiver form can be found on this app under Forms or on our website. Party length of time is 1.5 hrs. Please wear sweats or shorts and a t-shirt. (No cut-offs, snaps, zippers, buttons, hooks, or blue jeans.) If a child comes unprepared, they may not be allowed on the gymnastics equipment. Please call or email for more information, times available and to reserve a spot.
