We are an after-school technology school group participating in this year's FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Competition (a not-for-profit, international competition whose goal is to inspire and introduce and students to the STEM field). We have 8 members,4 girls and 4 boys (all in grades 6 to 8). We invented the GreenO2 machine to trap the CO2 emissions from the homes and make our cities healthier.
Our team is composed of four girls and four boys. Most of us have been part of this team for 2 and 3 years; we have been getting to know each other. Our team's highlight is for every practice day; we get pizza or popcorn. It brings our group together. Had it not been for this team some of our we would not have met as we come here after school and weekends, we attend different schools; throughout the years we have been together we have become good friends, and we also become close. Our coaches for the robot is Rolando Carrillo and for the project is Eren Fernandez.

About FLL : The competition is composed of three-part segments: One is the Core Values demonstration (teamwork values). The second is on the robotics tables where participants solve series of challenges using autonomous robots we build and test. he GREENO2 Box – an appliance designed to suck carbon from the air vents outside your home effectively using NETS (Negative Emissions Technologies); attached to return vents, the GreenO2 Box uses no power as it harvests the strength of the air vent being spilled out; we used fumed silica, impregnated with polyethlenimine (These chemicals release CO2 when heated). The walls inside our GreenO2 Box are covered in silica solution, so when the air is flowing through the box, it allows the Silica solution trap CO2. A vacuum system sucks the CO2 when the interior of the box is heated to 72 celsius.
