The LGBT+ community is something that is normal. Kids should not be shunned for what they identify as, or what their sexuality is. Being a LGBT+ member is a normal thing and people should normalize their children/siblings /relatives coming out because it's nothing that's abnormal.
Using the proper pronouns for non- binary people can often be difficult. People often can get gender dysphoria when someone uses the wrong pronouns.
trans FtM (female to male); often use he/ him or sometimes they/ them
trans MtF (male to female); use she/ her/ they/ them
genderfluid; they/ them
non- binary; thye/ them
If you don't know what someone identifies as, you can always ask them, "What pronouns do you prefer?"
Coming out can be a struggle for some people. Maybe your parents are super religious, maybe they're homophobic/transphobic, or maybe they just don't accept the LGBT+ community. Whatever the reason, you should never feel pressured to come out. Coming out can take a week or take a year, it just depends on if your parents/ whoever you're telling accepts or not. The best way to come out is to just tell them straight up because if you hesitate it the person you're telling could get frustrated and then get mad which could make them not accept you. If the person you're coming out to get mad the best thing to do is give them time to cool down and wait for them to talk to you about it. Approaching a homophobic person with the thought of coming out can be intimidating, but you have to tell them straight up even if it's scary. If you don't feel safe to come out then do not come out. Do it on your own time when you feel safe.
