Slow, quiet classical music is the most beneficial for our physiological functions such as slowing the pulse and heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and decreasing stress hormones.Although music can be a distraction sometimes, it can really help explore emotions and thoughts. Relaxing music is also a great help to meditation which helps prevent the mind from wandering. Music preferences vary from person to person. If you haven’t listened to classical music and it is really not your preferred music taste, we recommend that you give it a try if you’re looking for some calming music. Sometimes lyrics just don’t work for stress management.
