Vyšehrad (45 min)
Vyšehrad is a great place where to relax and have (a) beer(s). This historical fort from approx. 10th century offers a very pleasant atmosphere thanks to magical combination of positive geopathogenic zone, beer spots and nice view of Prague. It’s a favourite place of many Praguers where to chill out. We suggest you buy a draft beer and simply lay down on the grass in front of St. Peter and St. Pauls basilica, or sit on the walls and enjoy the view onto the Prague Castle and the river and its bridges. Behind the basilica there is a cemetery where lies the elite of Czech nation: composers, writers, poets, painters etc… drink with the greatest!
Good weather, recommended time min. 45 min
Royal Way of Prague (2hours)
This is probably the most easy way to walk through the major touristic points in 2,5 kilometers. From 1438 – 1836 it was the traditional coronation route of Czech kings, so let’s get royal and walk it too! 😊
Start walking under the Powder tower in Náměstí republiky and proceed via Celetná street, where you can spot many historical house signs, to Old time square with astronomical clock. Continue through Karlova street to Charles bridge. On the other side of the bridge begins the Lesser quarter. On its square (the one with tram stop) I suggest to stop at Malostranská beseda, a haven of politicians since 16th centure, to have a Pilsner and get forces for the final climbing to the Castle. Proceed via Nerudova street, admire ancient historical signs on the building, breathe and once uphill, enjoy the wonderful view. Worn out Barrelers can do vice versa to walk downhill.
Good weather, 1-2 hours
Prague ZOO (4 hours)
After the destructive flood from 2002 was the Prague’s Zoo rebuilt to major comfort of the animals and was repeatedly ranked in top 10 world’s zoos by Forbes Traveler Magazine, and ranked as 4th best zoo in the world by TripAdvisor in 2015. The Zoo is situated in two levels, if you don’t like walking uphill you can take a zoo train or a very old school funicular to reach the upper floor. Many animals are present but we are particularly proud of breeding Przewalski's horse and helping to get this almost extinct animal back to steppes of Mongolia. Come and say hi to our youngsters celebrities: gorillas Nauru and Ajabu, elephants Rudolf and Maxmilián, lions Jamvan, Ginni and Suchi, freshly newborn sea lion and many others!
Preferibly good weather, recommended time at least 4h
Staropramen Brewery (2 hours)
Do you want to discover the secrets of the biggest Prague’s beer producer? Head to Prague 5. In 50
minutes you’ll visit the factory and then you can taste various beers. Every day they offer several guided
tours in English, German and Russia. Shake hands with Mr. Brewer!
Bad weather, 1 hour
