So what's it all about?
The Sussex Beer and Jazz Festival was borne from a need to have a day long party to celebrate great music. This is the third year it is taking place but the first time that we decided to extend it to the whole weekend! Because of this, we need to stress that it's not just about Jazz! It is a celebration of music that has, or been influenced by jazz. So that's quite a large pool to take from. In any case, you will find music here that you will love, that's for sure! We have put together a programme of excellent acts that will accommodate all tastes!
Where is it?
The festival site is at Springhill Farm. A beautiful piece of the Sussex Countryside overlooking the Weirwood reservoir on one side and miles of cow laden fields on the other. The farm is a working farm which has graciously allowed us to 'set up camp' for the weekend which we are thrilled about (obviously!)
And talking about camping...the farm is a campers paradise! There are three fields to camp in which are family friendly and gorgeous!
We don't deal with the camping side of things so if you need to find out more go to www.springhillcamping.co.uk.
However, you don't have to camp! If you live close enough and want to come back the next day from the comfort of your own home, please do!
Or you can stay at any of these great places...

How do I get there?
To get to the farm, there are various modes....
By Car: Firstly put RH18 5HT into your satnav. The road that leads from Priory Road in Forest Row will eventually fork, take the left one and go along the flag-lined avenue until you arrive at the parking space. There will be a steward to tell you where to go. Please note: We don't have that much parking space so it might be an idea to car share if you can!
By Train: The Southern service from Victoria arrives every half hour to East Grinstead station. When you arrive, just phone 01342 822228 or 01342 324444 for a cab. They will bring you straight to the farm.
By Bus: The 291 runs between Crawley and Tunbridge Wells. There are stops in Forest Row which are about a 15 minute walk from the festival site.
By Bike: It's a great cycle ride from the village and you'll meet some great sights along the way. The festival site has a dedicated bike spot so bring it along and it'll be safe!
By Foot: Yes! You can walk here! It's so close to the village, you'll be amazed and if the weather's good, the experience is second to none.
Is it just about music?
We've teamed up with a few people to make this year extra special! If you like beer, we've asked lovely man to come along and run a well-stocked bar. He has assured us that he will be stocking the best local and regional ales, beers and ciders known to man. This will be housed in the Dairy which is going to be a video bar showing hand picked videos for your titillation. In between acts on the main stage, there is a chance for buskers to 'do their thing' on our buskers' stage; if you want have a go, speak to someone at the Information stall.
We've also been in contact with a circus school and they will be showing off their skills at various points of the weekend, so watch out for them!
There's a local artist who will be doing lots of crafty activities throughout the weekend especially for children but if you want your face painted or want to make a dream catcher...hey! it's a free country!
On the food side, we have great teas and coffees and cakes, fantastic veggie food as well as a constant barbecue for meat lovers.
I think that's everything! If you need any info at all, just contact us and over the weekend, just head over to the Information stall, they can answer any question! Enjoy...
