hi, I'm your helpful Pocket guide to trigonometry. Your probably thinking, where do I start? Well let's start off with the basics. On your scientific calculator you should see the buttons, cos, sin and tan. They stand for cosine, sine and tangent. Now in order to get started we need a triangle.
Now, we have 3 sides of the triangle. Adjacent, opposite and hypotenuse. The adjacent touches both the right angle, and the angle X. The opposite only touches the right angle and is opposite angle x. The hypotenuse only touches angle x. We are given Opposite (O) and Hypotenuse (H). If we need to work out x, we need to go to our 3 special triangles. Go to the "T,C,S" page to see more. As we have O and H we need to use the triangle we need to use SOH. S is our angle x. As we already have o and h we can circle S. This means we have to divide o by h. Could you do that for me now? Next off we need to click Shift and then sin. Next click equals (=). There! You should have your answer. Were your first 3 digits 53.1?

The answer to the sample question was 4.69. When you get a number you can round up to, for example, 4.689, you would round that to the nearest making it 4.69.CREDITS: ALL EDITED AND MADE BY ZAC DAWSON. I do not take credit for programming and layout.
TCS
TCS. What does it mean?
To start off, you should know what Tan Cos And Sin mean if you read the intro. Now there are 3 maaaaagic triangles in this. Below you should see the 3 magic triangles. Say we have a triangle. We have the adjacent and the opposite. I want you to find out the angle. Now in these 3 triangles, tell me which one contains an A (adjacent) And an O (opposite). Yes the end one. As you can see there is also a T in there. This Represents the tangent. So that's our angle. Since that's the one we need to work out we cross it out. We are left with O A. Whenever we are left with the top letter and any bottom letter, we divide the top by the bottom. If in other cases we are left with the two bottom letters, we would times them together. For example, T x A = O. But when you are writing down your angle, it would be put into a calculator by pressing TAN, COS or SIN and then by typing in your angle. So in this case, O / A. Once you have the answer to O / A, on your calculator click shift, tan and =. Once you've done that your left with a number. That number is our angle! Well done! Your probably thinking why did I click Tan. Well remember when I said it was because the T represented our angle? Well that "T" also represents tangent.
Sample Question
Can you work out XZ (adjacent) for me?
